Successful delivery of mega infrastructure projects
Prior to 2020 there had only been 28 mega-infrastructure projects awarded in Australia. Since then, more than 20 new projects have been awarded. In Australia more than half of these projects have failed to achieve their objectives. Globally the statistics are much worse. So, what is the formula for success for the projects that do achieve their objectives? Dr Rollo presents the theoretical concepts for successfully managing complexity and compares these through his research to what is happening in practice. He has identified 13 success factors that, if effectively applied, result in project success.
Learning outcomes
In this presentation you will learn:
- causes of failure of large projects
- theoretical concepts for successfully managing complexity
- factors for successful delivery of major projects.
