    Defence technologies against hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs) are heavily guarded secrets. The shortage of public-domain information did not stop academia from proposing various detection and tracking schemes. Still, a reasonable question is: “How credible and useful is current public-domain information, including academic publications, on HGV detection and tracking for academic researchers to base their cybersecurity research on?”

To answer this question, we scanned and critically reviewed public-domain literature on HGV detection and tracking. We then identified ambiguities and knowledge gaps in the literature.

Senior Lecturer, University of South Australia  

Dr Yee Wei Law is a Senior Lecturer at UniSA STEM, University of South Australia, and an active member of the Distributed Defence and Cyber Security Solutions Lab there. His research is currently focusing on space system security, adversarial machine learning and machine diagnostics. His work frequently crosses the boundaries of dynamics, estimation, machine learning and applied cryptography.
