Hardware testing of large-scale solar plant controllers

This presentation will be delivered in two parts. Part one will provide an update on how the University of Queensland is currently collaborating with industry to conduct solar plant controller hardware tests to provide more surety for large-scale solar projects. One of the greatest challenges is ensuring safe and sufficient access to sustainably sourced energy; UQ will showcase research and findings on hardware testing of their large-scale solar plant controller.

Part two will focus on evaluating the dynamic responses of electronic-based load and small-scale Photovoltaic (PV) inverters through hardware in loop experiments using RTDS.
