Water for a liveable and sustainable Western Sydney

Supporting the NSW Government’s vision for Greater Sydney is a metropolis of three cities – the Western Parkland City, the Central River City and the Eastern Harbour City. To Provide a liveable, productive and sustainable future for Western Sydney, integrating land use, transport and infrastructure is required across the region. This webinar aims to raise awareness of the Infrastructure and land use challenges facing Wester Sydney and the role of water in driving liveable and sustainable solutions.

Greater Sydney is a successful and growing city, but to become more liveable, productive and sustainable, additional infrastructure and services will be required in the right places and at the right time. For the Western Sydney region to grow sustainably, Infrastructure planning requires collaboration – managing the competing needs of government, industry and the community. A key contribution to this is the creation of a western parkland city urban structure and identity with South Creek at the heart.

This webinar will focus on the role of water in providing for and shaping a western parkland city through the South Creek Corridor. Our speakers will discuss the use of total water cycle management to deliver sustainable wastewater and recycled water services and to achieve a cool, green and liveable Western Parkland City.

Includes:

Introduction to EA Western Sydney Initiative

Introduction to topic and Sydney Water

Introduction to broader NSW Government policy and Western Sydney Regional Plans
