Many transport issues and challenges are complex and intractable, so simple techniques which have been previously applied have become inadequate. Applying systems thinking with a future orientation has the potential to reframe the solutions so that transport can be safer, more sustainable and more effective. The presentation will focus on what systems thinking is and how it can be applied to transport.
