Integrating Multi Modal end to end Journey Transportation and their Interaction

Multi-modal integrated transport enables and encourages travellers to utilise various mode of transport through their journey. It greatly assists with the accessibility of a city by allowing seamless transfer between transport modes. This webinar will start with an introduction to the current and future state of the NSW multi-modal transport system by Howard Collins, Acting Deputy Secretary, Greater Sydney. The transport landscape is likely to change more in the next 10 years than it has in the past 50. The large economic and societal shifts we are seeing today – from the emergence of new technologies and mobility solutions, to changing expectations from customers and communities – require us to transform the way we operate to ensure the productivity, liveability and sustainability of our communities in the future. The second speaker Professor David Hensher will focus on how we might accommodate a multi-modal representation of transport services including Mobility as a service (MaaS) into strategic model systems, as well as recognising the changing role that working from home might have on the way that we revise transport models. With Singapore globally recognised as a leader in developing an integrated multi-modal transportation system, the third speaker Peter Hyland will cover what the key factors are that have enabled this to occur, both from a planning and implementation perspective, where does Singapore look to further enhance this system, and what are the lessons learned?
